Yozorro is an app that aims to provide safety monitoring 24/7. Safety has become the primary concern of people living in big cities like San Francisco. And there have been apps such as Life 360, BSafe, Watch Over Me, trying to tackle this issue. However, majority of them offer very similar solution and very linear interaction model, where it set a timer based on the destination user enters. As the designer on this project, I completed changed the approach to how safety traditionally attack the problem. Considering the fact that user will probably be reluctant to use their phone in certain areas, I design the interface to be easily operated with a thumb. Users are free to control the level of alertness in the system, which is more flexible than the traditional model. The project is still being developed in progress, with collaboration from two other engineers.
